I haven't been posting lately because I've been and continue to be in Europe. For the first ten days of May Laura and I traveled with some friends around Spain, and then they returned and I stayed -- to work. I'm going to eleven or so American military bases in Venice, Brussels, and Germany to talk to folks about writing. It's a great opportunity. I've only been to one so far, in Vicenza, and today I'm in Brussels for the second stop. But it's been fun. I imagine I'll get pretty worn down by the end of it all . . . but so far, so good.What I had for lunch today. Mouche. Mussels. Mussels in Brussels. It's a tradition.
